MY APPROACH

Seasonally led, and inspired by the magic of nature.

My style is seasonally led, and is inspired by the magic of nature. I love the wiggliness of natural stems, the dance of Summer cottage borders, and the frothiness of Spring hedgerows. I try to bring movement and lightness into my floral designs, whatever the occasion; causing you to stop and look twice at the beauty of what nature has created.

As a keen gardener, I also have a small cutting patch and my aim is to use a piece of something I've grown in every item I create. I am still mesmerised by what can bloom from a tiny seed, and that is something that I want to be able to share!

With this ethos in mind, I use British-grown flowers wherever possible, so that my work is truly in line with the seasons, as well as supporting British Flower Farmers. If I do need to import flowers, I bring them in from no further afield than mainland Europe, so as to minimise the air miles and carbon footprint impact they have.

Minimising the environmental impact of my floristry is a core value for me, and so I use sustainable mechanics in everything that I do; meaning no floral foam is used in any of my designs. I aim for all the materials in my creations to be able to be composted, re-used, or recycled, so as to reduce what is sent to landfill.

MY STORY

Time to reconnect with nature and creativity

After spending nearly 15 years working in Retail head offices, I realised in 2021 that I needed to change careers. Partly to protect my own health and wellbeing, but also because I'd realised I no longer loved what I did, and I’d abandoned a creative side of me that needed to be nurtured.

Cue several sessions with a brilliant career coach, and a LOT of soul searching (!), I realised that I wanted to work with nature in a creative way. I had an epiphany moment in the days leading up to my brother's wedding - I kept walking into the room where the florists were working on site and thinking "this is where I want to be!"

I finally took the plunge in May 2022 when I re-trained at Tallulah Rose Flower School in Cumbria… and I haven't looked back!

I now absolutely LOVE what I do. I am passionate about bringing your creative vision to life through beautiful florals. My aim is for you to experience the absolute magic of flowers, and the joy that they bring, whatever the occasion.

I must have flowers, always and always
